Data Management Tool Selection

Tool selection can be based on the tasks selected from the Data Management Life Cycle to produce the deliverables for each role. This way the tool is more closely aligned with the way an Enterprise chooses to do business rather than trying to fit into the tool's methodology. This approach also identifies which roles need access to which tool to perform their tasks and licensing requirements can be predicted when purchasing a new tool. To use this approach, the Data Management Life Cycle (DMLC) must be defined as shown below.
